Coming Up This August

Save the dates — we've got four Friday craft days this August: the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th! Here's the full lineup.

Friday, August 7

On Friday, August 7, we'll craft colourful tissue-paper wind chimes (furin) with a hand-decorated floral tag — a breezy summer decoration to take home.

Friday, August 7

🕐 11:00–11:50 & 14:00–14:50

Also on August 7, little hands will paint and stamp a juicy watermelon slice craft, complete with speckled seeds and colourful ring prints.

Friday, August 14

🕐 10:00–10:50 & 13:00–13:50

On Friday, August 14, we'll create a goldfish bowl craft inspired by kingyo sukui (goldfish scooping) — a summer festival favourite.

Also on August 14, our littlest friends will splatter-paint another fireworks burst (hanabi) — always a favourite for tiny hands.

Friday, August 21

On Friday, August 21, we'll turn torn tissue paper into a corn-on-the-cob craft, complete with paper husks and a wispy paper tassel.

Also on August 21, little handprints will become crab claws on a cheerful ocean-themed crab craft, complete with paper shells and bubbles.

Friday, August 28

🕐 10:00–10:50 & 13:00–13:50

On Friday, August 28, we'll build a bear-topped shaved ice (kakigori) craft, piled high with paper fruit toppings and a sprinkle of colour.

Friday, August 28

🕐 11:00–11:50 & 14:00–14:50

Also on August 28, we'll close out the month with another tissue-paper ice cream cone collage — a sweet way to say goodbye to summer.
